Energy Efficiency
Get a good night sleep and don’t worry about your utility bill with SlumberShades. Independent testing** has shown SlumberShades provide an R-value greater than 7.0 when installed over a double paned vinyl window. The testing indicates that the R-value of a SlumberShade is 2.5 to 3 times higher than that of the same shade without sidetracks.

Energy Saving Blackout Sidetracks
Made from a durable window grade PVC, the energy saving blackout sidetracks seal off the gap between the blackout cellular shade and the window to create a light blocking barrier. The exclusive SlumberShade sidetrack system seals tight around the window frame, without the light gaps you have with blackout curtains or other shades.Tracks are available in three colors: white, tan or bronze and are removable for cleaning.

Light Absorbing Technology
The co-extruded blackout sidetracks are black lined to absorb incoming light. The inside of the sidetrack facing the room remains white for visual aesthetics.When properly installed, Slumbershades block 99% of all visible light. Â In certain installations with intense sunlight, a very small amount of light may reflect around the edges of the honeycomb fabric along each side of the shade. This is a normal attribute of the Slumbershade system.

SlumberShade End Caps
The specially designed notched bottom rail end caps fit over the blackout sidetracks and allow for smooth movement when raising and lowering the shade.

Top Seal
To ensure the best possible dark sleeping environment, fuzzy seals are applied along the shade’s head rail. This barrier helps block out exterior light at the top of the shade.

Comfortex blackout cellular fabrics block almost all incoming light. In addition to controlling light, blackout cellular fabrics can help reduce your heating and cooling costs. They insulate the windows by preventing cool air from coming in and warm air escaping.

The 3 Energy Gap Barriers

Sidetracks:
The sidetracks of ComforTrack Insulation System are the first defense against your window’s energy gap. The sidetracks seals off the gap between the shade and window to create a solid insulating barrier.
Special designed end caps fit over the sidetrack and allow for smooth movement of the shade.
Tracks are available in two colors: white or brown and are removable.

Flex Seal:
The ComforTrack Flex Seal is a clear spring seal that is hidden between the cellular shade and the sidetracks. It flexes open and closed when the shade is raised and lowered to help create an energy tight seal

Foam Seal:
The small space between the head rail and the window frame is sealed off with the Foam Seal which is discretely attached to the back of the head rail.
